VONDELPARK 

 

The Vondelpark is a very big park near the centre of Amsterdam. It is 3,5 kilometres deep and at it's widest point around 700 metres wide. It is a popular place for young people to enjoy good weather, for jogging and in summer (August) there is a whole program of performances at the open air theatre in the middle of the park. This is completely for free. The park contains several terraces, the most interesting one is 'het Blauwe theehuis' in the middle of the park.The park does not only look nice, but it is the atmosphere which makes the park a phenomenon.
